Sr M. Philomille B.S.
Sr M. Philomille B.S. – age 94 (Josephine Mary Carvalho)
St Raymond’s Convent, Vamanjoor, Mangalore
Sr M Philomille passed away on Saturday, August 14th 2010 at 4.30am. Funeral rites will be held today (August 14th) at St Raymond’s Convent Vamanjoor, Mangalore, at 3.30pm.
Sr M Philomille hails from Kundapur, daughter of Late Mr Xavier Carvalho and Late Regina Carvalho. She joined the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore on 10.01.1934. She served as a teacher for many years and won the hearts of many students in places like, Bendur, Bajpe, Kinnigoly, Kulshekar, Gadenahally (Hassan), Taccode and Moodubelle. After her retirement, she spent her time in prayer at Gurpur, Basrur and Vamanjoor. A simple child like soul is flown to Heaven interceding for all of us.
May her soul rest in peace

We little knew that morning. God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our heart to loose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you're always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again

Shabhas D'Almeida (42 years), son of Casmir D'Almeida, brother of Lawrence D'Almeida (active SMKC Dubai member), died this morning. Cortege will leave their residence 'Immanuel Villa', Nakre/Karkala, tomorrow evening to Immaculate Heart Church , Nakre @ 3.30 PM.

Loss of a beloved one is unthinkable but our dear friend, 'Konkan Kogul' Wilfy Rebimbus is not lost forever as his musical works will live for many generations to come.
Wilfy Rebimbus may cease to sing in person but willl reign in the hearts of the KONKAN world and beyond. His passion, his dedication for the KONKANI language and music is worth admiring. He has been an ideal MENTOR to all upcoming singers - amateur and professionals.

Son of Late Alphonse D'Souza and late Severine D'Souza, Pillya House, Arwa, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010.
Funeral took place on Friday 29th January at 4.00 pm at St. Peter’s Church, Arwa.
